IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
MCMO Members and Friends,
The Board of Montgomery Chamber Music Organization wishes you a Happy NewYear filled with good health and prosperity!
Sadly, MCMO is writing to announce the cancellation of the three concerts scheduled for the 2021 portion of our 60th concert series. The concerts scheduled for January 26, 2021, March 7, 2021 and April 29, 2021 are cancelled. There are multiple reasons for this as the COVID19 virus continues to spread across our country and the world. It has made international travel for the artists impossible, and coupled with the very restrictive guidelines for social events, it has made live concerts very difficult, if not impossible, to present now. Also, a consideration most important to MCMO is that of your health, of our artists' health and of the staff's health at our venue, the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. We are saddened and disappointed to have no other option, but we thank you for your sustaining commitment to MCMO. All of the concerts mentioned above have been re-scheduled for either next season 2021-2022 or the following season 2022-2023.
Pursuant to our legal contractual obligations, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble (winds and strings) is re-scheduled for Thursday, October 21, 2021 and the Jerusalem Quartet is re-scheduled for Thursday, April 21, 2022. The Hermitage Piano Trio concert is in negotiations now.
MCMO will be re-funding the cost of your concert tickets purchased for this season 2020-2021. You will receive a check for this amount from MCMO by mail shortly.
Our annual Membership Brochure will be mailed to you in May. We are deeply indebted to you for your dedication and support of Chamber Music. Indeed we are most grateful.
Please be assured that we are waiting and ready to celebrate the Magic of Live Performances with you again in October of 2021 ! We thank you for your patience as we navigate this most unusual season.
With Appreciation,
Mary Miles, Chair of the Board
